Funny wacky comments from cruise callers

In my years taking calls from people looking to book a cruise, I have had my share of bizarre questions and truly funny comments. Here are just a few:

When I asked a woman if she wanted air with her cruise, she replied "I won't be needing air, I'm bringing my own fan."

I had a client who's first name was actually Osama who asked if any identification was required to go on a cruise. I tried to politely explain that there was an excellent chance he would not only need identification but should expect to be cavity searched. He failed to see the humor in my reply.

More than one person has asked "what will I see out of the cabin window". Uhhh...sometimes water, sometimes land?

An angry sounding woman called and asked what the ship would do if her husband should suddenly drop dead on the cruise. Was there a place they could store him on-board or would the ship have to turn around and go back to port? Wow. I wanted to alert the authorities and warn the hubby not to take this particular vacation.

"Is the water in the cabin toilets sea water or fresh water?" I'm not kidding. Someone asked. I don't think anyone has ever found out the answer.

"Does the ship produce it's own electricity?" I said no and tried to convince her that there was a really, really long extension cord that went from Los Angeles down to Cabo.

"Does the Captain sleep on the ship?" No, he is airlifted off to a Ritz Carlton nightly.

"What do they do with the ice sculptures when they are done with them?" Use them for the water in the toilets maybe...

Luxury Cruise Discounts

I don't care how much money someone has, we all like to get a good deal on a cruise. Especially on a luxury cruise where rates are already pretty steep. At My Cruise Club, our goal is to do our best to make sure our clients are the ones at the dinner table that can be the ones that paid the least for their cruise - because you KNOW that subject always comes up at dinner at some point. So here is how we do that. First, find the cruise you want on our site, the cruise lines own site or any site for that matter. Then CALL the cruise line directly to see if they have any other promotions or discounts available but do NOT book it with them directly. Then call us. Tell us the ship, date, type of cabin and total price you were quoted by the cruise line or any other wesbite. We then reduce that price by 5% or MORE. On a luxury cruise, the average savings is $250 per person! Try us. You'll like us. www.mycruiseclub.com
